I do not say this lightly, Melo's is the best fucking thing your face will experience. Ever.
No really... in fact perhaps it's best that you do not try one of their masterfully delicious "Zapatilla" sandwiches. It's like Madrid's version of a Philly Cheesesteak, but better because shut up, that's why.
Look I'm just trying to protect you because I know, that once you taste that sweet ass ham they call Lacón Gallego smothered with that equally Galician melted cheese in between two buttery pieces of grilled toast so Texas sized it could feed you 3 times over, you would never want to leave this place.
Maybe you're strong and they won't have to pull you away from here kicking and screaming while you weep uncontrollably, grasping at plates of Melo's other specialties like Peppers de Padrón or Croquettes as you try to relish the last of your fleeting experience. Who knows anything is possible.
Just be warned, this place is severely fucking awesome.

El mejor lugar en Madrid para tomarse unas croquetas, empanadillas o pimientos de padron...pero lo mejor es la zapatilla...Como es normal...lo bueno llama..asi que ir temprano porque siempre está hasta arriba de gente....Melos....falta un servicio de pedir desde casa...o poder pedir para llevar
