There's something about going into a restaurant where even though you don't have a reservation they not only find you a table -- but provide you with a waiter who wants to make a personal connection. We were there for lunch on a Thursday and the waiter really spent time explaining what life was like in the area as he brought out each course. We learned of his family -- and by the end of the meal that he had been a soccer goalkeeper. We learned which foods were local options and why no one ate the oranges on the trees in the area when he brought out a plate of orange pieces I could eat. The fish was fresh, the beef was tender, and the sauces were great sides (I liked the green garlic one the best!)
Oh and my son scarfed down the entire dessert which looked like a thicker version of flan.
Some many great dishes here!!!
Fresh Prawns with salt and olive oil, mushrooms with bonito flakes, octopus...all amazing.
Hake was only average.
Desserts are good too like the egg yolk dish.
Would come back.
I had a rabo Del toro (15.50 euros), which was okay, and my wife had a Pez a la espalda (14 euros), which wasn't good at all. On the other hand, the service was excellent. For the price, I expected more from the food.
